The 2025 Spring Festival travel rush will begin on January 14 and conclude on February 22, lasting 40 days.

People are expected to have a stronger willingness to travel with methods such as self-driving, online car-hailing and railway this year.

It is predicted that Zhongshan will send some 5.97 million passengers by road, waterway and railway during the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush, up 11.7% year-on-year.

These include some 4.97 million road passengers (including some 320,000 Shenzhen-Zhongshan intercity bus passengers), up 13.8% year-on-year, some 80,000 waterway passengers, down 14% year-on-year, and about 930,000 railway passengers, up 3.8% year-on-year.

The passenger peak before the Spring Festival holiday will occur from January 26 to 28, and the passenger peak after the holiday will occur from February 4 to 8.
