The unveiling ceremony of Phoenix Coating Technology Innovation (Guangdong) Co Ltd and the R&D center co-developed by the company and Zhongshan Institute of Changchun University of Science and Technology was held recently. On its opening day, Phoenix Technology secured an order worth 20 million yuan from an Italian listed company.
Since its establishment in Zhongshan's Torch Development Zone in March 2021, the Zhongshan Institute has developed a "concept validation-pilot scale testing-industrial acceleration" full-chain service system focusing on the commercialization of sci-tech achievements in the optoelectronic technology field. It has also established 9 joint R&Dcenters with enterprises in Zhongshan.
Through the Zhongshan Precision Optoelectronic Instrument and Intelligent Equipment Pilot Platform, the Zhongshan Institute has facilitated the commercialization of sci-tech projects worth over 100 million yuan and incubated 21 technology companies specialized in optoelectronics, artificial intelligence and other fields.
The newly unveiled Phoenix Technology is a self-incubated company of the Zhongshan Institute. It engages in the development and production of large thin-film equipment and innovative, industrialized optical equipment. The company's research team is mostly composed of PhDs graduated from well-known universities in the UK, and its executives all have experience in starting companies.
