This year will see Torch Development Zone stepping up efforts to make people better benefit from economic development engined by large quality projects. In 2011, the Development Zone is planning to put in 1 billion yuan perfecting the infrastructure of the Coastal Industrial Park, including the construction of ship channels, the land-backfill project in support for major projects with China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, China Railway Group Limited, Wistron, CIMC and MGL, as well as road construction. Now everything is forging ahead as expected.

Moreover, 500 million yuan is scheduled to be invested to make a center of modern service industry, a 300, 000-square-meter industrial incubator, and a 400,000-square-meter technical innovation park. To fuel the development of new industries, the Development Zone will also make efforts to create a shipbuilding park, a new energy park, Wistron opto-electrical park, Cannon manufacturing base of color printers, micro-electronics park, medical equipment park, Mingyang industrial park (phase II), and a center of modern service industry.
