Officers of Zhongshan Customs, under Gongbei Customs, conducted a sampling inspection for a batch of biological materials at Crown Bioscience Zhongshan company on July 28. These biomaterials will be exported to the EU for further scientific research and experimental analysis after passing the inspection.

Crown Bioscience Zhongshan is a high-tech company specializing in biomedical R&D and outsourcing services based in Tsuihang New District. It provides animal model tests for the research and development of new drugs used for various cancers and metabolic diseases.

"We didn't get the entry permit for European Commission's CAT1/CAT3 products, so these products with experimental data are not allowed to be exported to EU," said Zhou Shaojia, deputy manager of logistics procurement department of Crown Bioscience Zhongshan.

In this regard, Zhongshan Customs sent special personnel to provide the company with guidance on the CAT1/CAT3 registration and completed the approval and on-site inspection processes, so as to help the company to become the first in Gongbei Customs jurisdictional area to obtain EU registration of its kind.

With the successful registration, the company is expected to witness a 70% annual average business growth in the EU market and an annual export value growth of over 50 million yuan.
