The opening ceremony of the Zhongshan (Sanjiao) New Materials Industrial Park and the groundbreaking ceremony of the Guangdong Medical Valley (GDMV) Zhongshan Life Science Park were held in Sanjiao on April 14. It took only 51 days from project negotiation and strategic agreement conclusion to land acquisition and construction commencement, creating new "Zhongshan speed".
Funded and constructed by an enterprise under ZDVC Group, the GDMV Zhongshan Life Science Park proposes to bring in the industrial cluster of biopharmaceuticals, precision medicine and medical devices as well as the productive service industry cluster of inspection and detection, third-party medical laboratory services and medical outsourcing services, to develop into an innovation center for biopharmaceutical and medical device industries in the Greater Bay Area. With a total investment of 3.3 billion yuan, the project is expected to generate an annual output value of 2.72 billion yuan at its full capacity.
On the day, the Zhongshan (Sanjiao) New Materials Industrial Park opened as one of the top 10 theme industrial parks in Zhongshan. Seven projects including the GBA Global Production Headquarters of ZDVC Group were signed with a total investment of over 17 billion yuan.
Covering a land area of about 1,200 hectares, the Zhongshan (Sanjiao) New Materials Industrial Park is home to 138 industrial enterprises above designated size. It has introduced 21 new projects, with a total investment of 27.2 billion yuan, which are expected to generate an annual output value of 39.8 billion yuan and annual tax revenues of about 1.3 billion yuan after production.
