Recently, Guangdong Department of Culture and Tourism issued a list of the second batch of alternative villages recommended by various cities and districts for the "Key Rural Tourism Villages in China" list. A total of 42 villages from 20 cities in Guangdong, including Shijun Village in Huangpu Town and Xinlun Village in Minzhong Town of Zhongshan City were selected.

Shijun Village is the only village in Huangpu Town located at the site of a former revolutionary base. It has a 7-kilometer-long riverside area, which has been built into Xigang Dutou Cultural Wetland Park. The park covers an area of about 9,900 square meters. The village is also home to the Wuzhu Ferry, which has a history of 100 years and witnesses wonderful changes here.

Xinlun Village of Minzhong Town, is located near the sea. It has a beautiful and primitive water village scenery. It is well-liked by Zhongshan locals and tourists for its natural ecological environment, unique and simple folk customs, and rich water village cultural customs.

In 2019, the two villages were also selected in the "99 Villages with Cultural and Tourism Characteristics in Guangdong" list.
