An ecological zone which is under construction at the moment will be added to Zimaling Zoo. New animals and small amusement equipment will be added to the zoo. More than 20 kinds of animals including giraffe, Ailurus fulgens, zebra, ostrich, and gazelle will be introduced. The zoo will have 40 odd kinds of animals. The total number of animals in the zoo will reach 3,000 to 4,000. The renovation project is expected to be completed before Mar. 8. Sections of monkey and giraffe will be firstly opened to public. There will be a popular science section and an aquarium section in the ecological zone to spread popular science to children and to call upon them to protect the ocean and animals.
