Beside the beautiful Huangniu Mountain in Shenwan Town, south of Zhongshan, there is a park-like waste incineration base – the Zhongshan Southern Group Waste Treatment Base. It is now open to the public by appointment.

The base covers an area of about 108 mu, with a total investment of about 656 million yuan. It can convert over 3,000 tons of waste into energy every day, with an annual treatment capacity of over 1.2 million tons and a power generation capacity of 610 million kWh.
