To better understand citizens' expectation and complete the preparation work so as to create a more livable and beautiful Zhongshan, the bureau also invites citizens to submit their proposals and suggestions.

The preparations for the plan will clearly define the strategic objectives, determine Zhongshan's advantages through detailed, comprehensive, and in-depth research, and provide a clear orientation and strategies to lay a solid foundation for a better Zhongshan. Meanwhile, the towns, ecology, sea, agriculture, and other spaces will be planned for as a whole; an overall space utilization pattern will be constructed with consideration of transportation, ecological protection, history and culture, urban and rural development, and others.

According to the work plan of the municipal government, Zhongshan will carry out citywide public participation activities, which will be carried out in three stages.

In addition, Zhongshan Bureau of Natural Resources also proposes to carry out the "Zhongshan 2035, Listen to You!" the Launch Ceremony for Public Participation of Overall Planning for the Land Space of Zhongshan (2020-2035)" and a Citizenship Workshop.
