From September 1, the Housing Rental Subsidies in Zhongshan will be granted based on unified standards. Families with housing difficulties can receive a maximum subsidy of 1,620 yuan per month, and the amount shall not be higher than each family's monthly rent.
The Zhongshan Housing and Urban-rural Development Bureau and the Zhongshan Finance Bureau jointly issued the Notice on Coordinating the Granting of Housing Rental Subsidies in Zhongshan. This Notice expands the area entitled to the Housing Rental Subsidies to all towns and districts in Zhongshan to foster the protection of families with housing problems in towns and districts.
The Housing Rental Subsidy is granted to lower-middle-income families with housing difficulties or singletons who are registered as permanent residents of Zhongshan.
The Housing Rental Subsidy formula is: monthly rental subsidy = standard rental subsidy per square meter × (standard per capita housing area guaranteed - per capita self-owned housing area) × the number of people guaranteed × subsidy coefficient × family coefficient. The standard rental subsidy per square meter is 18 yuan per month; the standard per capita housing area guaranteed is 18 square meters, and the maximum housing area per household is 60 square meters. The number of people guaranteed is 1.5 for one-person per household and the actual number of persons for households consisting of two (or more) persons.
