The Health Commission of Shaanxi Province reported on Sunday that 2 outside tourists (a couple) tested positive in nucleic acid testing. On Monday, among people they traveled together, 6 were found positive in nucleic acid testing successively in Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province and Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. As of 7 am Monday, there were 7 confirmed cases and 1 asymptomatic case reported at this outbreak.

To prevent imported COVID-19 cases, Zhongshan Center for Disease Control and Prevention hereby issues the following notice:

Those who have trajectory overlaps with positive cases reported by the Shaanxi and Ningxia authorities since October 9, as well as people with travel history to Alxa League, Inner Mongolia and Zhangye City, Gansu Province since October 2, to Jiayuguan City, Gansu Province since October 14, and to Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province and Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region since October 15, please pay close attention to your health codes and report to your communities and employers proactively. Citizens can report your travel history (choose the "medium risk areas" category) through the "粵省事" WeChat applet, cooperate with nucleic acid testing, quarantine control and other health management activities, and strengthen self-health monitoring.

All departments have responsibilities to carry out investigation on the recent travel history of their staff and the personnel they live with, and to urge them to take the initiative to report relevant information.

Residents coming back to Zhongshan from a trip outside Guangdong province should take a nucleic acid test and monitor their health for 14 days.

Those who experience a fever, dry cough, fatigue, decreased sense of smell and taste, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, conjunctivitis, myalgia, and diarrhoea etc. should report to their community committees, employers and go to their nearest fever clinic. Masks must be worn, and they must truthfully inform their healthcare workers of their travel and epidemiological history of the past 14 days. In such cases, public transportation should be avoided.

Please insist on implementing personal protective measures. Choose outdoor activities as much as possible, and avoid activities in places where people gather, space is confined and ventilation is poor. When going into indoor entertainment and leisure places, you need to make reservations in advance and enter in an orderly manner, and take the initiative to cooperate in scanning and showing health codes, measuring body temperature and etc.
