The Guangdong Department of Culture and Tourism a few days ago released the list of the first batch of 100 "Guangdong Culture & Tourism Villages". Shijun Village in Huangpu Town and Xinlun Village in Minzhong Town of Zhongshan figure in the list.

Shijun Village, honored as "Guangdong Tourism Characteristic Village" and "Zhongshan Characteristic Excellent Village", is a well-known revolutionary base area in the Pearl River Delta. In recent years, the village has established a party history education base, a patriotism education base and leisure tourism itinerary with a revolutionary cultural theme to make use of revolutionary culture to vigorously develop green leisure agriculture and ecological leisure tourism. Moreover, the village has added a batch of tourist attractions such as Stone Edge Greenway, Xigang Ferry Cultural Wetland Park and the Qizhai Hand-Painted Wall this year.

Xinlun Village covers an area of 6.73 square kilometers and enjoys a good reputation in the Pearl River Delta for its traditional Lingnan Water Village scenery. Following the development of local characteristic eco-tourism, Xinlun Village has many popular kinds of scenery in the area.
