Sunrise viewing point under the ShenZhong Link
Located on Ma'an Island in Cuiheng New District, this is the landing point of the ShenZhong Link on the west bank of the Pearl River estuary and one of the best places to watch the sunrise.
Tourism Area of Sun Yat-sen Hometown
This is a national 5A tourist attraction and the birthplace of the great man Sun Yat-sen. Covering 3.15 square kilometers, it has five core scenic spots: The Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen, Cuiheng Village, the Zhongshan Studio City, the Memorial Park of Xinhai Revolution, and Litoujian Mountain.
Yakou Village (Yakou East Dike)
Yakou is located on the edge of the Lingdingyang Bay of Pearl River Estuary. It has contiguous rice fields of 2,000 mu, freshwater fish ponds of 5,000 mu, and reclaimed land of 20,000 mu. It also has a coastline of 6 kilometers.
The 2-kilometer Yakou East Dike is also an excellent place to watch the sunrise and enjoy the sea view. The internet-famous market here always attracts a large number of residents and tourists.
Yakou Seafood Street
Yakou is at the junction of saltwater and freshwater, abundant in all kinds of seafood, such as blue crabs, moray eels, greasyback shrimp and Hengmen dried fish.
Zimaling Park
This is a good place for children to run, play football and frisbee, or have an intimate interaction with animals.
Sanxi Village
Located in the southeast part of East District, it is one of the well-preserved traditional villages in their original state in downtown Zhongshan. After restoration and preservation, the buildings in the village have been revitalized into cafes, private restaurants, craft shops, design studios and etc.
