Zhongshan's court pronounced judgments on 6 cases involving mafia-like gangs on the morning of July 30. A press conference was subsequently held after the verdict to inform the public on the progress of this current special campaign.

Since the launch of this special campaign, the basic people's courts and intermediate people's courts of Zhongshan have accepted a total of 81 key cases against mafia-like gangs. These cases involved a total of 10 case types and 598 defendants. Among them, 57 cases have reached a verdict and 349 people have been sentenced. The settlement rate has been 70.37%.

Zhongshan First People's Court set up a special working group to contain and combat "set-pattern loan fraud" at its source. In the first half of 2019, private lending-related cases decreased for the first time in recent years, with a drop of 7.25%.

In the first half of 2019, in order to speed up case trials while maintaining quality, the Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court implemented a supervision system. Based on this system, leaders of the Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court are responsible for supervising the trials of major criminals and gangs through the basic and intermediate people's courts. The purpose is to conclude these cases within a limited time frame. At present, a total of 102 defendants in 12 cases have been sentenced under the supervision of the Zhongshan Intermediate People's Court.
