The "Zhongshan Pricing Reference for House Rent 2020" was recently issued by the Zhongshan Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to provide guidance for both parties of house leasing to negotiate rent fairly and reasonably.

July 1, 2020 served as the base date of the reference price for house rent. Zhongshan conducted a survey on the rent of houses on 1,637 representative commercial streets, 625 markets and commercial buildings, 983 residential areas, and 113 office buildings, which were divided into 219 commercial districts, 226 residential districts, 49 office districts and 144 industrial districts.

The rent cost for residential and commercial buildings were the highest in East District. The reference price for residential buildings with elevators at Lihe International Apartment in East District was 50 yuan/㎡/month, while the apparel shops in Lihe Plaza were 280 yuan/㎡/month.

Citizens can go to service windows of the housing and urban-rural development departments of towns and districts, or log in to the "2020 Zhongshan Pricing Reference for House Rent Inquiry System" to check the rent reference.
