The 2019 Dream Project of Zhongshan was officially recently launched by accepting applications. This project will provide 600 new-generation industrial workers with opportunities for attending junior college and undergraduate courses during their spare time.

The Dream Project, a non-profit project for young migrant workers in Guangdong, was co-launched by the Communist Youth League Committee of Guangdong Province, Human Resources and Social Security Department of Guangdong Province, Department of Finance of Guangdong Province, Department of Education of Guangdong Province, and Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province. Students can complete all their courses for a minimum tuition fee of 1,000 yuan. The balance of their tuition is covered by subsidies provided by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and local governments.

The 2019 Dream Project of Zhongshan will collaborate with Zhongshan Polytechnic, Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic, Zhongshan Open University, and Shandong University to sponsor 600 students who are outstanding new-generation industrial workers working in Zhongshan. The goal is to further junior college and undergraduate education. All young people, aged between 18 to 35 with a high school degree or above and engaged in "front-line" labor for Zhongshan companies, can sign up for the project.
